In Hebrew, Bat Kol means, “daughter of a voice.” She is the daughter of God’s Voice and her dwelling places range from the loftiest heights of human thought to the lowliest of hearts on earth.

Bat Kol Institute fosters Jewish Studies, defined as study of the Word of God (Torah) within its Jewish milieu, using Jewish sources, ancient and modern, with the help of Jewish and Christian scholars. Christianity is rooted in Judaism as a plant is rooted in the earth; it cannot live apart from the soil in which it is planted.

Talmud Torah: study the weekly Torah portion, using Jewish sources.

Havrutah:  our method of study, based on “iron sharpens iron” (Prov. 27:1). Just as one piece of iron sharpens another, so two studying together sharpen each other’s minds.

Hebrew Language:  our key to the exegesis of Jewish texts.

Sabbath: in “imitatio Dei” and in imitation of Jesus and his disciples.

Sunday Worship: fulfilling who we are as disciples of Jesus.

Sit at the feet of Jewish professors as they interpret and reinterpret ancient texts. Hear the voices through the ages. Touch the rocks of the ancient temple. Taste the milk and honey of the Land. Smell the lilies of the field. See the waves as they lap the shores of the Sea of Galilee. For all this and more start your journey here.
